I had somewhat the same issue a couple of weeks ago... The "Starting Windows" screen would appear for around 2 - 5 seconds in, then it would freeze and my computer would restart. Just had to end up reformatting but im not sure you're having the same issue.

I think the new forum design looks much nicer. A lot easier on the eyes and has a great look to in in my opinion
