Gotcha. thanks. The CIS cost me $19 - so the upgrade cost might as well balance out to the NA/EU standard price

Yes, they are locking it. However you can upgrade to eu version for a small fee whivh can be played anywhere.

Hi guys. I'm about to buy the EFT cheat, but I don't have an EFT account. I found some sketch RU/CIS EFT accounts for pretty cheap. Does EFT region lock their games while playing (i.e. I have to be connected with a Russian VPN while playing, or only for activation?
