Incorrect DEP setting

Welcome to Chod's Cheats! In this guide we will go over how to resolve this error represented in the launcher.

Most systems have this Windows feature toggled on by default, but if for some reason your system was changed and you are unsure how to change it back we provide multiple methods to restore this setting.

Method 1.

Open elevated (Admin) Command Prompt by typing CMD in the search field that appears after pressing the windows key.
Run the following command
bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOn
This makes sure that the value is always on
Make a full system shutdown and startup and try again

If the issue is not resolved try Method 2.

Method 2.

Open Windows Security
App & Browser Control
Exploit Protection -> Exploit protection settings
Data Execution Prevention (DEP)
Make sure its Use default (On)
Make a full system shutdown and startup and try again

If the issue is not resolved try Method 3.

Method 3.

Open Settings
Click on System
Scroll down to bottom for "About", click it
Advanced System Settings
Under Special tab the top option is Performance, click settings behind it
Navigate to Data Execution Prevention tab
Make sure that the first option "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only" is selected
Make a full system shutdown and startup and try again
